Danny leads the Energy practice at ThinkPlace. He is passionate about increasing our quality of life through more efficient and sustainable use of energy, particularly through driving uptake of renewable energy solutions. As GM Strategy he advised the Australian Renewable Energy Agency in setting its investment strategy and implementing business improvement initiatives to help advance renewable energy projects. At ThinkPlace Energy he combines his passion for accelerating systemic change in the sector with a desire to ensure the energy transformation achieves broad social impact, including with disadvantaged customers and those in developing countries.
Prior to directing his focus to the energy sector he was a Project Leader with the Boston Consulting Group, a Tier 1 strategy consultancy, and held senior positions in other consultancies. He delivered high-impact work in such topics as digital service delivery strategy, operating model design, sustainable cost and efficiency improvements and large-scale ICT-enabled business transformation. He advised public and private sector clients (e.g. federal and state governments, consumer goods, telecommunications, pharma and automotive). He had the opportunity to do this in various locations in the world including SE Asia and the Middle East, which helped create a global perspective on business and the cultural awareness necessary to relate to people of various backgrounds.
